I have always been a fan of a good book. A good book connects me to a different reality, while it also entertains and inspires me.
Over the last couple of years, I have also become a fan of social media. It connects me to people I want to stay in touch with, keeps me informed of my community, and it often entertains and inspires me.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have social media in the form of a book? Author Mark Hart’s new book, Tweet Inspiration: Faith in 140 Characters (or Less), is a treasury of inspiration gathered from Mark Hart’s collection of tweets on faith and life. Mark also adds his thoughts and insight on various topics, and I found these were a great way of bringing the tweet messages together.
Here is an example of one of his tweets:
Just keep smiling…. Just keep smiling…. this guy’s lucky I’m a Christian…just keep smiling….
And here is one of his insights:
“Living the Christian life doesn’t mean that nothing bothers you. If anything, you have an even more heightened awareness of sin–yours and others–but you refuse to be mastered by it.”
There is a lot of joy, love, and simple truth in this book. I like this book so much I will be sharing it with my social media friends. Tweet, anyone?
