Recently I’ve found myself praying a daily Rosary. Prior to this, I would maybe pray the Rosary once or twice a week, very randomly. But now it’s become a regular habit. My favorite time is often around 2:00 a.m., when insomnia visits and I might be tempted instead to…confession time…catch up on Words With Friends or check e-mail.
I’ve been offering the Rosary for any pressing intentions I might have, along with an ongoing one for the salvation of souls (some of those souls being in my own family). And I’ve begun calling this daily/nightly Rosary my “secret weapon” – because, as Paul says, “the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).
As the day goes on, I remind myself to trust, even when I feel impatient or it looks like nothing is happening. But, invariably, every day something does happen that makes me smile, and I think to myself, The Rosary really is my secret weapon!
What are some of the “secret weapons” that you’ve discovered? I know our readers would love to hear from you.
“When Mary said yes to the angel, her life incarnated a truth
she had always believed: ‘With God all things are possible.’”
