My Secret Weapon

My Secret Weapon

Recently I’ve found myself praying a daily Rosary. Prior to this, I would maybe pray the Rosary once or twice a week, very randomly. But now it’s become a regular habit. My favorite time is often around 2:00 a.m., when insomnia visits and I might be tempted instead to…confession time…catch up on Words With Friends or check e-mail.

I’ve been offering the Rosary for any pressing intentions I might have, along with an ongoing one for the salvation of souls (some of those souls being in my own family). And I’ve begun calling this daily/nightly Rosary my “secret weapon” – because, as Paul says, “the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).

As the day goes on, I remind myself to trust, even when I feel impatient or it looks like nothing is happening. But, invariably, every day something does happen that makes me smile, and I think to myself, The Rosary really is my secret weapon!

What are some of the “secret weapons” that you’ve discovered? I know our readers would love to hear from you.

“When Mary said yes to the angel, her life incarnated a truth
she had always believed: ‘With God all things are possible.’”

I begin each day with the rosary and find it helps me take on the day with a tranquil spirit. I continue to carry my rosary (made for me by my son) in my pocket, and when reaching for a pen or keys, touching the Cross reminds me not only of my son, but also that Christ is with me throughout, helping me overcome my struggles.

    Greetings:
I pray it before going to bed:as a trash remover.During the day,all that trash off vision
media denigrates the spirituaity of the home from being a holy sanctuary.

I totally agree with Claudia, the rosary is not just a simple weapon but it must be ranked among weapons of mass destruction not really on humanity but on the kingdom of the evil one. I will tell you briefly what I mean. When I was praying a prayer of deliverance for a girl who was possessed by an evil spirit she tried to close her ears with her hands to avoid hearing the hail Marys, upon her deliverance I asked her what was happening she retorted that everytime she heard Hail Mary it was as though fire or hot water was poured through her ears. One hail Mary you say in the rosary sends fire to the evil one so pray that prayer of the rosary and you will have done enough destruction. Blessed Escavira once said ‘blessed be that prayer of the rosary which sounds monotonous yet atones for our monotonous sins’

I totally agree with Claudia on the effectiveness of the Rosary prayer. Its a dangerous prayer and the devil knows that. The rosary should be classified among weapons of mass destruction to the kingdom of the evil one
